Wellkept Property Porter Wellkept in Miami, Florida

WellKept offers property services to multifamily complexes across Texas and the Southeastern United States. Our services include Door to Door Valet Trash, Recycling Programs, Junk Removal, Porter Service, Pressure Washing, and Custom Beautification Programs. Our flagship valet trash service makes properties cleaner and residents'​ lives easier with convenient doorstep pickup. WellKept services apartments, condominium complexes, town homes, student housing centers, and senior living facilities. We serve the Texas markets of Dallas, Houston, San Antonio, and Austin. The Georgia markets of Atlanta and Savannah. And the Florida markets of Miami, Orlando, Tampa, Ft. Lauderdale, Jacksonville, Ft. Myers, and Tallahassee.

The hours for the position are Monday, Thursday and Saturday working 10 hours each day totaling 30 hours for the week.

POSITION SUMMARY:The Porter delivers porter/groundkeeper services to multi-family customers. Primary duties involve the upkeep of the property in order to enhance and maintain its curb appeal. With direction from the Operations Supervisor, the Porter determines the most effective method to perform porter services in line with the general guidelines set forth by the Company. The Porter will also assist other staff, as directed, in their efforts to manage the property in an efficient manner.

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Physically walks the property on a frequent basis and removes litter, debris, cigarette butts and pet droppings from the grounds, including but not limited to, the management office area, pool area, laundry room, pathways to show units/models, stairways and breezeways, dumpster areas, recreation areas, parking lots and drives.

  • Transfers trash and other items left outside of dumpster or compactor into dumpster or compactor and sweeps area.

  • Cleans and rakes shrub areas, shovels mud when necessary, uses blower to keep sidewalks and walking areas clean of loose grass and brush.

  • Assists with various physical tasks as directed (i.e. tearing down fences, digging post holes, carrying abandoned sofas, etc.).

  • Checks and replaces exterior lighting on a regular basis.

  • Distributes resident communications to residents (i.e. upcoming events, pest control notices, newsletters, etc.).

  • Constantly observes condition of apartment property throughout the community and immediately reports and/or initiates action to correct unsafe conditions.

  • Ensures that storage areas always remain locked when not in use.

  • Utilizes smart phone to report and take pictures during work shift via a smart phone application.

  • Courteously interacts with all customers, management and others on a daily basis to ensure all customer routes receive service in a timely and professional manner.

  • Maintains adherence to required productivity standards for the department to ensure all customers are serviced in a timely and efficient manner.

  • Follows all required safety policies and procedures.

  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned or apparent.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High school diploma or G.E.D.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must have a smart phone with data plan.

  • If hired for a driving position, must have a valid driver’s license and state mandated minimum vehicle insurance.
